The NS app serves as the official planning application for the Dutch Railways. It offers a range of useful features to assist users in their train journeys:
- Realtime journey planner
- Timetable of departing trains per station
- Summary of planned work and disruptions
- Station-specific information on facilities and shops
- Notifications for delays on saved trips
In order to enhance user experience, the app requires the following permissions:
- Location permission to display nearby train stations
- "Photo's/media/files" permission to save temporary files for Google Maps, thereby improving map loading speed. Rest assured, the app does not access or utilize any personal pictures or other media from your device.
